"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1
While many of us have excelled at remaining flexible and adaptable in the workplace, the outbreak of #COVID-19 has proven otherwise in our personal lives. The most challenging part about the #COVID-19 pandemic is the fact that none of us were prepared. Currently, some of us are either working from home, or not working at all. Additionally, our daily to-do lists now consist of finding new streams of income, beating grocery store lines, wearing protective masks, standing six feet away from others, and excessively sanitizing everything we come into contact with. The drastic expansion of this illness has shifted the world right before our eyes, leaving us with little room to even process all that has taken place. So what should we do now?
Embrace our new normal.
Change is inevitable. At some point in our lives, everything we've ever known will undergo some type of metamorphosis, whether good or bad. Adjusting to change can be difficult, especially if we are accustomed to our own ways of doing things. While the adjustment may not be easy, I definitely think there is a blessing disguised in the midst of this chaos. Change allows us to regroup, gain our focus back, and shift our energy.
Change allows us to regroup, shift our energy, and gain our focus back.
Despite the tumultuous series of events that have followed the outbreak of #COVID-19, there is a splash of beauty scattered amid the dark ashes. This shift in the world is essentially the rebirth that we all have been in need of. While we may not have definite answers as to why this is happening, I believe that God always brings clarity in the midst of storms.
As you reflect on the rebirth of our reality, I encourage you to think on a higher level by asking yourself some of these questions:
Do I need to slow down?
When was the last time I prayed to God?
Have I given up on my dreams?
Have I been taking good care of myself?
What have I been avoiding?
Who do I need to reconcile with?
What do I need to let go of?
As you reflect, my prayer is that God meets you right where you are. I pray that He comforts you in this season. I pray that He reveals His purpose to you and gives you divine instruction on how to move and where to go next. Most importantly, I pray that He gives you clarity and peace of mind as you embrace this new normal.
Now is the perfect time to execute your goals, both spoken and unspoken. I'm rooting for you! You can do this. This is our time.
